Jesus is our Anchor
In the midst of the craziness surrounding our world, Jesus is the anchor of our souls. He is the only one who can save us and He welcomes us to lean on Him to remain firm in the face of our struggles here on earth.
"We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain," Hebrews 6:19
Jesus is our Peace
Jesus promises us that as His followers, we will experience a peace that is not of this world. His peace, that transcends all understanding, granted to us when we surrender our lives to Christ.
"Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ," Romans 5:1
Jesus is our Joy
Jesus teaches that by following Him and keeping the Father’s commands, we will know an everlasting joy that offers immeasurably more than that of this fleeting world.
"I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete"
John 15:11
Jesus is our Lord
When we declare that Jesus is Lord, we are submitting to His rule over our lives. All authority has been given to Him by the father, and we respond to this by exalting Him to His rightful position.
"Therefore let all the house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both Lord and Christ—this Jesus whom you crucified." Acts 2:36
Jesus is our Savior
We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus. God created man, sin entered the world through man’s rebellion, and God sent Jesus to reconcile all things, making peace through his death on the Cross. God’s plan is for man to respond through faith, repentance, and baptism.
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God"
Ephesians 2:8
